Motivational Monday: Super Soul

I really love Super Soul Sundays on the Channel OWN. It’s really amazing the stories people have on their journey to peace and spirituality. With that being said, there is a segment where people show you their “space”: the place that they feel most at peace.

I am working on doing that this week. When I finish organizing my room and getting all my crap situated, I will work on making it a space that I feel good and unstressed in.

Thrifty Thursdays: DIY Ways to Wear a Men’s Button-Up Shirt

I decided to post this after a friend of mine and I had a discussion yesterday about what to do during a “walk of shame”. A quick google search brought me to this and I love it. Even though I don’t have a bf or a potential “walk of shame” partner, I am going to go to the thrift store and try this out on a large old men’s button-up anyway. Enjoy!

August Progress/September Goals

I lost 3 pounds and I reached my goal of working out at least 20 times for the month. I am losing inches so I am satisfied about not reaching my goal of losing 10 lbs. My sister lost 10 pounds this month though, so I’m happy for her.

Goals for August 2012

  1. Workout 20 times for the month (DONE!)
  2. Lose 10 pounds (as of September 1 my weight is 186)
  3. Have ONE cheat day a week (this did not happen lol)
  4. Help my sister lose 10 pounds (Done!)

This month I would like to lose at least 5 lbs. I would also like to be able to run a mile in at least 12 minutes. How did you do for the month of August?
